Accessibility
Nurath aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1at level AA, on every page. Last updated 2026-10-17.
What is checked, every time the site changes
- Every page, in light and dark, is tested with an automated accessibility checker (axe), and the checks fail if it finds a problem.
- Every pair of text and background colours is checked for contrast, in both looks.
- Every page works at 320 pixels wide — a small phone, or a large zoom — without scrolling sideways.
- Every page has a link to skip straight to the content, and one main heading.
- Forms say what is wrong next to the field, in words, and move you to the first problem.
- Nothing is said by colour alone: results carry a word and a symbol as well.
- Movement is reduced when your device asks for less motion.
What we know is not perfect
- Automated checks find many problems but not all. The site has not yet been tested by people who use screen readers or other assistive technology every day.
- The town field in the business finder offers suggestions using the browser's own list, which some screen readers announce less clearly than others. Typing the full name always works.
